Katsura: When it comes to depicting NTR, what I value most is the reader's "NTR experience." Whether or not the NTR is explicitly stated is irrelevant to the relationships between the characters. I want to create a moment where the reader sees such a scene with the protagonist and feels that "the protagonist has been deceived." It would be interesting to introduce my work to a small, select group of NTR readers, but since I'm serializing it on the Manga Pocket app, which has a large audience, I'd like to "blow the minds" of as many people as possible with NTR (laughs). I would be happy if readers could gradually become accustomed to NTR and develop immunity to it.

Katsura: "I like seeing Shinobu suffer, so my favorite scenes are when she's handing out flyers for Sakura but they ignore her, and when her awful boss hits her." Well, that pretty much tells us how it ends...
That’s a good argument to not read the final chapter. So Fumi is just a plot device to make him suffer more. Great job. 10/10 writing

Shinobu doomed ending confirmed.
Looks like won’t be getting the mention on Thursday after all

I’ve come across an interview with KA and NK regarding Grapara; if anyone has some free time, feel free to check it out.

https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/article/entry/gura_20231225

And another article
https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/article/entry/gura_20240816

At the end of the article there will be a summary statement.
Original work by Airi Katsura: "NTR is the foundation of all eroticism."

Airi Katsura said, "I would be happy if people could gradually get used to NTR and build up their immunity to it."
Thank you so much.

Checked them already but still didn't read them(wanna read other manga before LOL) as one article was in 2023 and another was in 2024.

However, both of them were shamelessly tagged as "rom-com" manga's articles which make Grapara a fraud to me.

We saw some romance but not comedy and they shouldn't count the special chapters of Chico in. LOL

By the way, my favourite truly erotic rom-com manga, Deliheal Yondara Moto Doukyuusei ga Kita, has uploaded the new chapter 9 today (Aug 15,2026) at
https://yanmaga.jp/comics/デリヘル呼んだら元同級生が来た/ (free reading in Japanese language)

Please take care,

I'm 100% sure that Shinobu and Fumi will drift apart after the movie and we'll never see Fumi again.
It will be a violent fallout it seems.

Shinobu's eyes looked as if he was witnessing first hand his dad instantly dying in a violent car crash at the end of the chapter. There will be an argument and Fumi will give the final stab by pointing out the reasons Fumi's doing this and why Shinobu sucks AIDS-ridden monkey balls...

but that will be probably shown as a flashback as a mean to justify Shinobu's eventual change into a douchebag director who uses women as onaholes for roles bc the final chapter may begin w/ an abrupt timeskip. But unlike Yuma and actor, Shinobu will be looked at with disapproval and fear due to his change

Let me see if I understand this... As readers, we’re going through an NTR experience while reading Grapara!, so that we can see how the protagonist has been cheated on and somehow get used to it and build up a tolerance......
I have no words to describe such stupidity...
No normal person is going to get used to being betrayed, and that’s exactly why it’s generated so much hate starting with episodes 128–129...
And if, on top of all this, as it seems, Fumi also betrays Shinobu, I don’t even want to imagine the hatred she’s going to reap....
“Immunity”, you say? What utter nonsense.

Probably that 1 chapter left will be a extra and we had like 3,5 scenes if we cut in a fair way:

1-Shinobu and Ryusei conversation.

2-Shinobu building the script and showing to Fumi (and the tragic pen moment)

3-Fuckboi and blondie conversation.

3,5-Shinobu and Fumi cliffchanger(3'5 because it was a small scene)

So if we think about the next chapter we will have to see:

1-Shibobu and Fumi conflict

2-Fuckboi and Sakura conflict

3-Potential meeting between Sakura and Shinobu

4-Likely timeskip to see what happens next.

So for me the chapters will be focused on the conflicts and final moments of the manga.About the final volume having 1 less chapter than normal is pretty likely that we will have a extra chapter to the volume or the last volume with end with 9 chapters,is pretty normal to the last volume having less chapters than the others,so for me it will a 20 page chapter again.

Make it spicier

1- timeskip w/ director Shinobu (with an image change and dead eyes) being invited to a class meeting while he's dogging an actress who was asking roles.

2- Ryusei mentioning Fumi also being there too, triggering vietcong flashbacks into Shinobu that stop him for a bit.

3- Scene of Sakura finishing a filming session, but feeling empty and clutching to the necklace Shinobu gave her. Flashbacks of Yuma setting her free and a convo w/ Fumi where the latter reveals she parted ways with that guy and admits she is the cause she broke up w/ him, but also warns Sakura to never get close to Shinobu again becsuse he's a bad person. Sakura makes a decision. Issue is that she lost contact w/ him.

4- class meeting, Shinobu gets praised for his success as a director, but said praise turns into disappointment and anger because he says some sexist and misogynistic remarks and goes passive aggressive at Fumi, leaving Ryusei, Chico and Fumi in absolute shame for his behavior.

5-Shinobu and ex-classmates parting ways. Ryusei saying something about the Shinobu in front of them not being the Shinobu he was friends with and demanding him to face the past pointing at the pen he always has with him.

6- final scene of Shinobu and Sakura crossing paths, Shinobu pretending he didn't see her and having neg thoughts bc he recognizes the necklace she began to use, but Sakura recognizing him from the pen and turning back to call him out. Open end.

All of this rushed.

Based on that interview, it sounds like Airi wants to pull off one last massive NTR twist for the finale, and Fumi will probably be the scapegoat. Count me in for Team 'Skipping the Final Chapter.' The manga is completely ruined by Airi’s sheer insanity.
This article was from 3 years ago.I think Airi probably didn't predict that people would hate on her after 3 years.:kek:
