Whole two chapters just to find out he can't even read minds.

I mean, it's not exactly useless information, but I feel unsatisfied...

What if he accidentally lobotomized himself and the damage done to his brain cause a change in his personality? Melinda did say something change about him and there are plenty of research on damaged done to the brain which can cause many things. Interestingly enough, there are reports of people surviving after experiencing massive lost of grey matter but it says they have a rough time living thru out their life.

I think is a nice setup for him being a very alienated individual, so much people around him think there has to be something supernatural about him. This definetly humanizes him compared to his insect like behaviour.

And the one who is going to crack the mystery is the goblin who picks her nose too much :dogkek:

I really should just drop this series tbh. Whatever plot regarding the war and spy stuff has been glacial.
Anya is the key to breaking this stalemate, but with her being a kid, I'm starting to think the author is finding reasons for Anya to be near important places or people so that she can actually use her powers.

Not helping is the slice-of-life focusing on OTHER characters than the main three makes the story even slower.
