Yeah, you guys had a wildly different read of her than I did. She said "I think I did alright, no idea how the company saw me. I'm still in the building so I can't talk much, but it's not like I'm dying to get the job anyway." Sees him, and goes "You know, maybe I do want the job after all."

That doesn't read as "I'm going to take the job specifically because he's here" to me. I read that as "I didn't care one way or another, but now I have an interest." She never implied she'd turn the job down, she just didn't care if they rejected her until she saw him.

Which is very different from "Let me track down my ex, apply to his job, and ruin his life now that he's finally happy."
