Yea, this just feels like a big drama. That bonus chico chapter was likely the "Rom-Com" break between all the drama. It's just hard to tell.

Although I still have doubts about it being axed, there has just been too many signs of it happening, and it was well expected to happen. I think you're right, but I'm always curious about what was going through the minds of romcom fans when the baits happened. I think just with the baits, you realize it's not for romcom fans.

That's why I think the romcom-ntr thing is misleading; those two themes don't work together, and in the end, only one would stand out (ntr) while the other would be sidelined (romcom)

Overall GraPara! was okay'ish....I think the bigger issue towards the end, more than whether or not than ntr would happen is the execution and aftermath, if the finale is anything serviceable then it'll be an overall positive all things considered across the 3 years of effort.

I am probably one of the few that thought Airi actually tried to do something different, with the NTR and baits being memes, and the romcom wins in the end; but lo and behold, it's just the same.

Hi, I'm one of them! Cause I like the art so much.

Idk, I try to put myself in the shoes of the romcom fan and for example, I see the director and Toppy's chapters and I would ask myself if this manga is really for me or if I'm just hurting myself as a romcom fan by watching this manga, I don't think the two themes can work together.

Oh it absolutely can work. To me this manga proved it.

The baits happened with the FMC and the actual NTR happened with the side characters. As long as the baits were just that for Sakura, it easily could have worked. The dramatic change was when the line was crossed for her. If you want to do an NTR Rom-Com, it's definitely doable. Even that one fitness instructor manga is a good example just more wholesome.

It was just a matter of handling it. Which wasn't done well here from 122 onward.

If there is a GraPara! 2 then we can hope lessons were made. But that's if this even happens

To be fair until the first of Shinobu and Sakura sex,i would give a solid 6 or 7 for the story and if ended there it could be at least a solid work.

But after that it was only a big downfall for the manga ended being bad developed and NTR was responsible to reunite the two most pure opossites fanbases(NTR and romcom fans) to simply only hate on her and her work,and the repercussion was pretty bad in the community but she didn't try to do nothing to fix it.(maybe 132 and 133 as damage control)

I agree with you that NTR and romcom does not work together and Airi did execute that pretty badly both concepts,because even she that is pointed for some people as the "master of NTR" made a bad NTR that even the degenarates hated and the romcom part was ignored after chapter 102,she literally failed in every aspect of the story.

The "profound" story was established is what they believe, but their handling of the aftermath was anything but. It was a poorly concocted balance of "damage control", and mixed messages until even now.
