It really do be feeling like that. But there's no telling what direction the story is going at this point.

There were just so many ways this could have worked out. Yet there's just been no build up whatsoever for a reunion.

I agree, though there's a weak argument you could make that given their "history" there's not much need for a buildup in Airi's opinion so she's milking it until the end. The more real possibility here is that the two won't meet and the finale is just there to show them finally achieving their dreams separately to close out the story. Writing it like this screams pathetic but Airi-sensei has never let that stop her before so we'll have to see

No interaction between the two since chapter 122 no communication since 130 the ending will be rather pathetic since I can see no reason the two meet again story wise except by accident.

I think you're right, but I'm always curious about what was going through the minds of romcom fans when the baits happened. I think just with the baits, you realize it's not for romcom fans.

That's why I think the romcom-ntr thing is misleading; those two themes don't work together, and in the end, only one would stand out (ntr) while the other would be sidelined (romcom)

NTR romcom can work if it's something absurd like Daredemo Dakeru Kimi ga Suki where both leads are braindead horndogs that sleeps around.

It doesn't work, however, if it's done in a story where the main leads are exclusively attracted to each other and their relationship are built over a hundred chapters. That's why Airi is a terrible writer. It's not a comedy if you're just punishing the characters. It's misery porn. This is what a NTR romantic tragedy looks like instead.

I can only wonder what twist it's gonna be. If at all.

The only thing I can think of is something that has to do with the parallels between Sakura and Shinobu despite their separation. It's noted that they seem to be going through similar scenarios for their respective careers.

Yet so far Shinobu is the only one being tested when it comes to doing a lewd scene, with Fumi basically going against what he planned out. I wanna say she's not doing it out of spite because that just doesn't make sense but rather to just prove she's willing to support Shinobu however she can.

Sakura however, from what we see, seems to be doing fine for now. Granted all we see is just her removing her shirt and showing her bra. I would not be surprised if this next chapter shows more how things are from her end. Her own test on if she can go through with it.

But again it's possibly the final chapter so.. who knows what direction this goes.

The real twist: fucboi developing ED because of Sakura.

I'm curious what the outcome of the chat with blonde will be, even though the more interesting thing is happening on Shinobu's side. As for Sakura she's already started filming the act itself (shown near end of conversation with blonde) supposedly in the background, but they have an intimacy coordinator on set and the environment seems more professional than Shinobu's (BUDGET).

Hey it was a solid defense, probably one of the most reasonable non-coped up things I've written for ShiFumi. With Airi's writing though there are still some issues, like the 1 month jump and feigning agreement.

As far as I’m concerned, if he doesn’t cut the scene quickly and just stands there watching, it completely undermines the point of Shinobu being the director, given all the work he’s put into writing the script.
What’s more, if the scene carries on and he goes along with it, it would be absurd as well as stupid, and it would completely destroy his character, turning him into a cuckold.
They might as well put a dummy there shouting: ‘Action!' 'Cut!’
