Not a hard ending to hate because it's very poorly fleshed out and only really resolved 1 thing, but for an ntr rom-com it's not the furthest from "I guess it makes sense".

I agree. It’s painfully obvious that the sex with Fumi—which happened right after—was basically an apology letter, an attempt to say, "Hey, look, the protagonist is sleeping with someone else too; he’s not just some cuckold loser." And when that didn't work, they tried to avoid putting Sakura and the fuckboy together so they wouldn't make people even angrier.
Probably because they wanted to convey greater emotion in the silly final few pages and thought it was a great idea.
People are saying that Fumi planned the kiss on Shinobu before the NTR and that she suddenly cheated on him in the sex scene without reason.
That last couple of pages are diabolical.Made a open ending implying a Shikura comeback and Sakura left without punishment.
When it's Airi writing the surface level stuff can be very infuriating, and in most cases the deeper meanings and thought processes of the characters isn't worth diving in to for many as it is just frustrating to no end trying to comprehend, especially towards the last 30 chapters here in GraPara! so I won't blame them.
I think the biggest "appease" they mean is clearing that joke of a misunderstanding that started all this crap.
I don't think this counts a punishment since it's basically offscreen, but during the 5 years Sakura looks to have been pretty lonely (her neutral expression just walking around seems a little too sad + wearing Shinobu's necklace gift), so my headcanon is that fucboi broke things off pretty early, blonde started ignoring her because fucboi is no longer interested and if Sakura didn't transfer to Mio's agency she probably doesn't even have any more friends so it's just been all work.
I found funny because they don't know that Fumi didn't know he had a GF and the kiss was forced and they don't know about her jealousy moment on the last two chapters and why she did that.
I think she made the worst open ending possible, I never imagined one could be so bad.
That is true and made the couple they didn't want to comeback potentially comeback.Everything was made in such wrong way.
Fumi the double offering, sacrificed to jumpstart Shinobu's career (Shinobu put in the right effort too though), and then sacrificed for ShiKura oof.
Honestly the only side characters I'd want to see are Mio, Chico and Ryusei. They've been the only real ones when side characters are concerned.

It's very likely. One last happy sex scene. But I'm also not opposed to a Sakura and Shinobu reunion sex scene either honestly.
