piece one of the puzzle that is Sora's current mental: acquired... Tsuki's a good partner (the repeated "I just don't wanna clean was great lol), hometown visits aren't always fun but I can't find myself too worried about them since they'll be together out there

thanks for the chapter!

Sora took the news of her death and threw herself even deeper into intertwining her life with Tsukiko's.

...so as to why Sora moved away, it's pretty clear she cut all ties with her home after graduating, wanted to get as far away from home as she could. That probably explains why she and Tsukiko didn't interact as much in their 20s, despite their obvious feelings for each other.

Damn, that's a gigaton-tier conversational nuke Sora just dropped. Tsukiko handled it okay and all, but I feel like a better way to take her mind off it would involve a quick swing by the grocery store to pick up a bunch of whipped cream.

Nice to finally see something of Sora's current circumstances and I love that Tsuki is so committed in responding to the revelation, even if her motive is slightly dubious.

I love BookWalker, but the tagging messes me up sometimes; I have the 百合 tag bookmarked so that I can search easily, but it doesn't work when a series (like this one) doesn't carry the tag :aquadrink:

I still bought it though. Thanks for the translation :>

Like, this is the latest chapter in japanese, too. You can read what's here and determine if it's risen beyond subtext, yet, for yourself. The tags can't see the future so any future development isn't accounted for by them.

None of Kuzushiro's manga outside of yurihime have been tagged as yuri by publishers and that includes The Moon on a Rainy Night. The subtext tag isn't omniscient and can't see the future. This series is just in the gray limbo area that Moon was in until the end of its first volume. Personally I have very strong faith there will be romance.

Sora took the news of her death and threw herself even deeper into intertwining her life with Tsukiko's.

I had been assuming that the move was forced by her mother but I think you're right and that she was cutting all contact with her family. This chapter was one of my and dand's favorites, can't wait to see what happens next (and hopefully get some more Meichi roasting Tsuki-chan).

I really like seeing Tsuki being proactive and communicating her concerns instead of just silently watching. Plus, it's nice to see the roles getting reversed instead of the usual "neet gets dragged out of their slump by extrovert/gyaru/etc." as if those weren't imperfect, vulnerable people as well...

Assuming her mother didn't just die in an incident but fell sick, I wonder if that's what caused Sora to move in with Tsuki and not (only) their old promise. Because even though it seems pretty apparent that they didn't get along and Sora tried to get distance between them, being alone while her (possibly last) parent was dying somewhere would probably be a pretty heavy feeling.

In any case, I'm looking forward to them getting through this together :win:

Thanks for the chapter!
