Is it delusion or just trying to stick to her beliefs? Honestly I'm no mental health expert and I know I called that one guy here delusional back in the 135 forum.
Criticism is expected. I'm pretty sure most of us would try to defend our own choices on the matter simply because we think it's right, depending on what it is of course.
I don't agree with her views nor the direction the story went but it really could have been worse. If she wanted to truly indulge in her own fetishes then the chapters after 129 could have been a lot worse if her other work is anything to go by!
I just don't see it as her being mentally ill.
No she did not bring it on herself and she doesn't have to ignore it it is a normal reaction to react and defend ones self when you are being attacked in particular when it's out siders attacking you.

Anyways Airi has gone from the one always baiting to now getting a bit baited on socials but it really has gone on too long, she deserves to vent as she likes IMO. I still thought saw her vision for the story after it went past a critical point, a lot of it didn't go as I expected (I lost every single bet to @box2024) but overall, I enjoyed the experience I got to have for FREE.
The one comment I ever made under any Airi post was just ShiKura cope btw.

He is using the word delusional wrong can you say she is using a real world event that happened in her life that shaped her world view yes can you say her sexual fetish is a driving factor in her works yes can you say her dialogue can be weak at times yes and you can say her pacing was off here at the end. But at no point has she been delusional about anything. That said there are aspects of the manga I enjoyed the netorare baits hightend the stake to the romantic part of the story the comedy was lacking but that could just be a cultural difference what japan find humorous I may not. The art was great I enjoyed most of the erotica except for 129 granted that chapter was meant to shock me and it did in particular the end I liked the supporting characters even if they were mainly there for erotic scenes and netorare scenes. Over all I would read again knowing what I now know.
Well if Arir hadn't given us more stuff to talk about we wouldn't have gotten there. Plus she made ME defend her can you believe that ME dammit after all the criticism I have given of this story!

I agree. That's why I made the comparison. If the MCs were more like the ones in Itaimai. It would've served to highlight the dark side of the entertainment industry, while the main couple would find strength in each other and persevere to the end.
That way you'd still have the rom-com and NTR elements in the story without spoiling the appeal of the main couple.

This is something that every creator has to deal with, there are literally teams that are designed for media training and the first thing they tell you is not to pick a fight with their demographics.
You cant expect people to not call you out when you write dumb shit. But if you start a fight with them, you are literally digging your own grave and can not hide behind the harrasment excuse anymore and saying that she is sticking up for her beliefs is such a lame excuse when she is getting paid for all of this and has to live up to the expectations of the publishers and other people involved in the project.
Its not about her anymore, there are so many people who are getting paid for this project that her crashing out on twitter could cause loss of sales and indirectly jeopardise their paycheck. That is why I hate her for this because she is putting other people's livelihood at stake for people not agreeing with her or hurting her ego.

I think it'd be the more socially awkward types like myself who aren't used to that kind of attention. Though I have gotten a bit better at handling it, especially after going out drinking with friends after work a few years back, it still catches me off-guard sometimes.
It's not her beliefs it's her story she is sticking up for and no there is no excuse to harass an author over and over again spamming the same thing every time on every post. Her getting paid for her work one is fair her having problems with people who are critical who didn't pay is also fair but because she is getting paid doesn't excuse people for harassing her. She can post back if she wants to no she should not be brow beaten off of X BECAUSE of that.
