Regarding the q&a, I wished I was Korean to ask the most pressing question I have, which is, will the reincarnation angle play any role in the plot? (I'm shocked no one asked this question) I'm already assuming that Han Yoil is indeed the woman's real name, and now I can't help but wonder what she was like in her previous life, and what connection she has to the Han family (who has their own secrets, and yes, like a lot of you, I'm guessing that Han Yuyeon is the other shapeshifter - anyone else just doesn't make any sense). The other question... yeah, Han Yoil's expression is telling . That being said, Kontoru, author-sama should know that her readers are degenerates. She'd be hopelessly naive if she didn't. WE ARE ALL DEGENERATES HERE! And proud of it.

It wasn't what I was using to describe it before, but yes, that's exactly what I was picking up on! I am so happy I managed to divine some level of authorial intent on that one.

I missed the "Season 1 review" title at the beginning and nearly got a heart attack with the "I had originally planned to continue the story a little longer" lol. That means there's still a long way to go since he didn't even reach the moment he initially planned as end of S1.

I wonder if season 2 will focus a bit more on the non-idol side of the MC's life and his relationships with other characters since Yoil already seems close to being good enough for the debut team. I'm guessing her getting picked might have been the intended S1 ending unless something happens before then.

to me the second character using the medicine is han yuyeon, I have been wanting to re read season 1 for a while now to confirm this theory I have for a while. Cause iirc we never see her grandma that makes the medicine whic most likely mean she is using the medicine to look younger in her case.

At least thats the theory I had for a long time, I need a proper re read to make sure if it makes sense or not

well, as far as i know TS genre is short of Trans sexual, which usually called gender bender and transsexual is just a specific term of transgender.... so yeah, how should i say it... i guess i shouldn't have used transgender, forgot that people are sensitive to that word (correct me if i'm wrong)

Well we've seen things like injuries and pain carry over entirely, just without being visible.
Normal physical processes like periods just stop being felt, though it seems like they're still somehow happening in the background since he can use the transformation to ride it out. Guessing that would also apply here.

For a moment I was hopeful that this update would be the start of the new season, but having the extras is good, so not disappointed! No, really, these extras are fun (I love popularity polls). A few thoughts on the extras:

• "Someone who isn't particularly special but wants to become special" feels like a good way to sum up the premise's appeal and its specific flavor of the gender-bender trope. The same appeal behind "became a superhero", "became a magical girl", "summoned to a fantasy world with cheat powers", "reincarnated as a villaines", etc. even if in those stories there isn't gender-bending.
• Holy mother of bombshells (though something readers have theorized in these very threads).
• Sorry, author, but you should have expected the pregnancy questions. Now start thinking of a real answer! (it's magic, whatever you think can happen)
• I'm NOT surprised that Han Yoil and Lee Ruha are the two most popular characters. I'm VERY surprised by how far ahead they're from the competition. The pair took over 60% of the total votes for themselves (power couple).

If you read it says the past life medicine won't work if pregnant presumably it means she can't turn back.

One of the TS stories said if a character did get pregnant they were stuck as a woman.

Rumiko said its a comedy why ask that?

In the past the Ranma question was more relsyed to if Ran-chan had to deal with feminine problems.


Although there was no direct answer it was said the 3 months he spent as a woman during the cats tongue arc were his least favourite. Suggesting he might've had to deal with it.

BIg thanks to Kontoru for this it has made me a lot happier that the author is not taking the story in a typical genderswap direction.

Basically pregnancy will make it permanent but author dismissed it saying it will never happen.
Also the author side stepped the male romance question by saying the male will play an important friendship role.
If you combine them both together no Han Yoil X Gonwon will ever happen must have been a loud minority pushing this romance considering GonWon didn't even make it to the top 10. I always feared the Gonwon and Kim/Yoil relationship would go that route but it won't be happening and Gonwon is going best bro route instead which will be so much better.

As for the pregnancy answer I think the reason most authors go this route is the possible implications of a forced abortion doesn't sit right with most people. However I did come across a RPGM maker game where the gender swap was used in a very unique way as it was done through magic. The moment the magic is used its like a saved state of your current age and health but female. Meaning that if the male self ages or gets older it doesn't effect the female self basically meaning you could live twice or take damage that could potentially end you and switch to the other gender before perishing. It also applied to pregnancy too as one character did get pregnant but whenever they returned to being male it had no effect on the child but when they returned back they were back to being pregnant again. I just found the idea really unique and interesting.

So in terms of ships it looks like my guess is, given what the author has said. Is that MC will stay as Kim in private but in public for the purposes of the job will be Yoil. As you can't have lesbian marriage in S Korea. They will probably marry one of the girls and maybe have some kinky action in the sheets from time to time as Yoil. Since I love the MC in both forms I think this is the best solution or something similar that way it would stay in line with Kim/Yoil being someone special rather than the genderswap itself.

As for the polls I knew best girl and best boy MC would be the winner but the gap was far bigger than I thought MC had a 14% lead on 2nd place and 2nd place had a 20% lead on 3rd place is crazy. Also crazy how So-ae was only 7th as one of the main love interests. As for the swimsuits love Sim ha Yeon's classy swimsuit it goes well on her. Bae's swimsuit is an interesting mix of cute and sexy more daring than I expected from her character but a nice surprise.

Not surprised at all by Lee Moo-young's swim attire but it suits her well. So-ae, Minji and Izumi have very cute swimsuits that go well on all 3 of them and suit their characters well. Han Yu-Yeon's is more daring than expected and given what other people have said about her in the thread she seems more sus now. It lacks the elegance of Sim ha Yeon's design and is very risque that I would not be surprised if someone is making the most of their youth. As for Lee Won-jin her swimsuit is what I would have expected Han Yu-Yeon to wear as its a more mature design than the other swim suits.

Now for Lee Ruha and best girl Yoil. I would say Lee's is very enticing like a predator on the hunt to capture the attention of someone special to her. A very daring combination as it draws attention to her assets and doesn't care for appearance as much shown by the lack of co-ordination in the swimsuit top and bottom. Yoil trying to be reserved and responsible and then unintentionally being the most sexy is just hilarious its suits her character too well as she always tries to look out for those around her.

Really enjoyed this and look forward to season 2 in January next year.
