Remember children "you are responsible for the life you save", don't be like Makoto who left his mess to fester to the point of causing a terrorist incident.

I'm always fascinated by how little Makoto cares about the residents of this world he doesn't have a connection to. Like he ran into this guy twice and has absolutely no recollection.
I have coworkers, and even family members I have run into 2-4 times, and if I met them again, I would have zero clue who the hell they are.

I don't totally dislike root, but yeah at least take on the girl form already.

Cant remember: has Root said why he isn't taking a feminine form now? It'd be easier for them to seduce Makoto...

Because, even if it's not clearly stated (maybe in latest part of WN i didn't read), he don't want to do it with Makoto. Or rather he would if not for Mio and Tomoe. He don't want to provoke them and Makoto too much. Because, while he's a perverted dragon, his main goal is to maintain current status quo in world. So neither humans or demons can win the war. And no "human" (or special "hyman" in Makoto case) to do something to fully tip the balance (like attacking the Goddess). Why? Because if any side win, it would soon turn to dragons for their next target. And messing with Goddess can just end the world for good.

So he goes around, mess with both hymans and demons and "target" strongest Isekai'ed people to not let them go down the path that can swift the balance (and probably mess with weaker ones behind the scenes). Because this way he can satisfy his perverted side with constant flow of new humans (because Goddess continue to summon them) and keep the world order at the same time. He maintain the attitude that he know repulses Makoto (so Mio and Tomoe won't scheme anything) and at the same time isn't so bad Makoto refuses to talk with him. Why not be jsut a straight dude? Well, he like to mess with people and keeping Makoto agitated makes him eaier to manipulate.

"acchi muite hoi means rock paper scissors" then translate it?
Certified keikaku means plan moment
"achhi muite hoi is a rock paper scissors game" its not "rock paper scissors". Acchi muite hoi just means look over there, hoi
if i translated it as "look over there / look that way" yall wouldnt understand it at all.

standard rock paper scissors -> winner points in one direction -> loser has to look away from that direction, if direction matches then winner wins fr fr, if not the game continues

Is Root the Yuuki Kagurazaka of Tensura in Tsukimichi?
I'll put this in a spoiler just in case

Yuuki is a scheming guild grandmaster just like Root here, but the similarities end here

Yuuki is not a local (came from Japan no shit) and he is aspiring for world domination

However, Root is doing the opposite here
He is just trying to maintain the current balance (idk why) using his position as the guild master and manipulating from the shadows (like Yuuki, but very dif goals)

Yuuki is actively hostile to the world behind the scenes, while Root is doing the opposite

Disclaimer: I'm in a dire need of re-reading the Tensura LNs and this manga, so take this with a grain of salt

So my understanding is that the full depths of the crimes of the Rembrandts is largely only in the manga. It's not in the anime, though some crimes were presumably what spurred the witch doctor to curse Lisa, Sif, and Yuno. Anyone who has read the LN care to chime in?

Because he decided that man on man love/sex is hotter and better than any of the other combinations. And he's a perv who follows his desires.
