Okay now things make more sense from the court result. I still wish Wataru’s Dad faced the consequences of his actions but alas that won’t happen. Thanks for the translations.

Although I'm a bit dissappointed becuz from raw, I was expecting MC to give the recording of them HAS SEGS, let them listen to the whore cry, destroying her whole WHORECRAFT magnificently.

That whole thread seems even more meaningless since it doesn't even resolve, just an extra bit of spice on a dish that's already finished.

Ah well. The final chapter is less jarring now. Thanks @UbelBlatt

Honestly this chapter makes me even more pissed at how amicable he is to her in the final chapter but I guess its a case of swallowing his pride so as to not show any conflict in front of his daughter

Ok, now that @UbelBlatt did the missing chapter, it's finally complete, thanks for the hard work.

The First Case isn't perfect and is very fast by the end, but I always had a soft spot for it, I see lots of people angry Ayaka didn't get the kind of comeuppance they wanted, but I'm fine with what she got, Okatani got his little Kokone and ended in a better place.

I do enjoy some harsher consequences too for people who cheat, but I feel Okatani managed to turn things around quick enough before he was too damaged by what Ayaka did, that's why I'm fine with what she got.

If you people are that thirsty for harsher consequences for cheating spouses for check Saretagawa no Blue, a complete manga that's officially licensed, this one can even make you a little sad for the antagonists due how screwed they get by end, but you always remember how bad they were to the main characters early on so the sadness washes away, and Jinsei Gyakuten, the latter is especially insane, the levels of consequences teenagers who weren't even married go is cosmic karma levels, but that's in the Web Novel which is pretty far ahead, the manga version hasn't got anywhere near those events yet.

Maybe it's different in Japan, but wouldn't this evidence be thrown out because the other party wasn't privy to it? I'm pretty sure there have been cases (here in the US at least) where rulings have been overturned because of late evidence being submitted without the defendant knowing. Granted, the outcome here would still be the same considering how she reacted, but still. If the laws are similar it wouldn't be a slam dunk like it's depicted.

With this second-half chapter everything in the final chapter makes a lot more sense. I just wish we saw a bit more of the aftermath and struggle of the ex-wife and half-brother after the divorce.

Criminal and Civil proceedings in the US have different thresholds and rules regarding evidence and rulings so it's hard to say but I imagine Japan has similar distinctions. I'd assume it was just for the sake of being a dramatic reveal at the 11th hour more than anything, like Gandalf arriving at dawn at Helm's Deep.

Wataru's mom mentions that her house was too big to be alone in when Wataru brought Kokone over, so we can assume she kicked him out
