All the axe stuff was rumors and vibes. So, is this getting axed or not?
They can still speedrun it. Next chapter Kagura goes to kill him, everyone immediately turns into Youma because Cattleya won off screen. Weird happy monster world, the end.And i still have not the slightest clue how Kagura is going to actually win here. She is barely able to walk before she even properly encounters the final boss!
True. It’s hard to say when a subpar ending is the result of an axe or if it was the author’s choice but they just naturally botched the landingAll the axe stuff was rumors and vibes.
I think most folks would still agree we were careening rapidly toward an endpoint and now it's likely time to wrap up a few questions before Kagurai ends. (Or maybe this first part of it?)
Good endings are extremely difficult. It just hurts all the more because the overall drop in quality of the story (my opinion, not that I had no complaints before,) feels a lot like the rush to an early finale you see a lot with publications that start strong but run out of motivation or funding or whatever else happens.
It's not like Kagurai had already been dragging on too long before now. The pacing has always been a little awkward but for the last few months, it's been vertigo-inducing.
