Burke here is basically Lady Catherine's lapdog. He's that arrogant baron type who only backs down when someone of higher status shows up
Surely something happening is just around the corner, right?!Guys i'm thinking about dropping this because nothing is happening every chapter. If someone want to take it go ahead if not i will wait for Volume 9 to drop then continue working on this. Thank you.

It is that kind of story, which isn't really battle-focused. If it isn't your thing, oh well. I just hope if someone else picks it up, that they produce comparable quality.Guys i'm thinking about dropping this because nothing is happening every chapter. Yyyeah this is kinda where I am. I find the setting fascinating and the various dragon designs are neat, they're still clearly Dragons without proceeding into "what the hell is that" territory like Legend of Dragoon, but I think, much like the writers of Transformers, the writer just wants to play with the dragons and the human characters are only here begrudgingly. This doesn't really portray the Baron as stubborn but more narrowminded and stupid. Sure not reopening the mine makes sense, that costs him money that he won't get back. There's no real reason to not let the MC into the abandoned mine though. Charge him an entry fee, limit the amount of time he can be in there, and charge him again based on the amount of material he takes out. If the mine collapses on him and he dies, well he knew the risks.
There's a difference between writing a story that's not action oriented and writing a boring story. You can make things feel important without having one guy punch another in the face. Things just kind of happen in this story and none of it really seems to matter. It's a problem endemic to the slow life genre which is why the stories are really reliant on the characters in it. In this story though I don't really feel like the author cares about these characters at all.
Why do you find these ugly guys who don't even resemble dragons "sexy"?Another chapter of "Obviously going to lay the dragon" without laying the dragon
We don't, it's that the manga is strongly pushing that the "dragons" find MC sexyWhy do you find these ugly guys who don't even resemble dragons "sexy"?
