I hope that will be the case because it gets pretty repetative if the whitestars always lose to the black stars, like what is the point of bieng the "best" if they lose the next time, show them bieng the best for a change.
But considering the mangaka has been setting up the humbling of mimisuke for a couple of chapters i am not sure this is going to be the case, personally i hope it will be the next arc that it actually happens and the reason bieng because she won this.

How can this be a setup for Mimi's "humbling" when her problem has always been self-deprecation? That interpretation makes no sense to me. Mimi's arc has always been about learning to value herself more, and she's starting to do that. She always had the charm to influence the people around her, and now thanks to Yuri, she also has the skills to compliment her charm.

Obviously, things can't be too easy for Mimi because that wouldn't be any fun as a story. She will have to face some kind of challenge. But I doubt it's gonna be what people seem to expect. All in all, I'm just a little worried the giddiness of her new-found confidence could make Mimi a bit self-absorbed. But we'll have to wait and see if that becomes a problem or not.

Anyway, Mimi hushing didn't just silence the audience but also served to reset the mood that the Black Stars created. Everyone in the audience is now 100% focused on the White Stars. Pretty cool stuff.

I didn't think too much about it, but the White Stars now really do have both a psychological advantage, since most of them already went through personal hurdles they already overcame without letting it go over their head and have a safer spot in the ratings, and a significant home advantage, which now with Mimisuke silencing the audience, you just feel it. The Mimisuke factor is also so strong it's amazing.

I'm curious if the expectations with the White Stars will just keep getting higher to the point of them not being able to be met, but since the idol fans want to support their oshis, I don't think it'll ever get to the point of them going "that's it?"

But it's too soon to get to any conclusions, though it's fun to speculate.

Also, great performance by the Black Stars! Urara's old friend even sent her a supportive message! But see how I'm talking about this last , the White Stars really stole the spotlight, goddamn.

Self-deprecation and hubris are just two sides of the same self-image problem. Mimi has never experienced so much recognition before and it's making her act out of character in ways that are shocking the people around her.

During the handshake event, Mimi wonders if she "really has the aura of a star" with a crazed look on her face. Her biggest danger right now is getting too caught up in the image that the fans have of her and losing sight of herself. For Mimi to reach a middle ground where she can look at herself properly, she basically has to be humbled.
