Long time since I read the web novel but I prefer how this scene happened in the web novel based off my memory. Mona is in the middle of trying to decipher the barrier and Kenta pops up behind her and scares the crap out of her, I don’t remember their being a fight just a verbal back and forth with Mona trying to pry if Mayleen is in the barrier or not. With Kenta dominating the verbal exchange before she sees the handkerchief. There’s a lot of more subtle humour in the web novel that made it a fun read that hasn’t really been translated over into this adaptation.
