1000% this, I always roll my eyes when I see comments like that. The MCs is a reasonable human being he isn't a psycho and won't kill at the drop of the hat. Him sparing her the first time makes perfect sense, she didn't threaten his wife and just went there to honey trap him. The second time was more severe with the bounty on his girl but again he went to check and find the source of it and again didn't go murder hobo when the problem could have and was be solved without it. As cynical as he is, rightfully so, he at least knew the king and first princess have brains and let them be. This isn't high art by any means, but MCs who don't kill aren't bad or push overs it depends entirely on how they are written and there are bad ones out there for sure. But the opposite is also true, trashy manga where the MC is far to edgy and kills just because they think its cool are also just as bad. Its all about balance and so far this manga is doing a decent job about showing the MC has a brain but not so far gone that he will kill just because.

The problem is that this wasn't the first, the second, third or even the fourth time that kingdom tried to fuck with him. Anything after sending the first princess packing would be fair game. It's even the third time this specific princess tried to fuck with him before he actually dealt with her.

While I'm happy enough seeing a story that finally lets the MC act like something resembling a human being with human emotions and human flaws, it's still a bit annoying that it has to go through all these third, fourth, fifth, etc. chances.
