The nun got into a very nasty predicament. But in the very end it was momentary, probably not more than a few days. Until now there is no hint of a sad tragic past. And she will completely recover from it, unlike our guy that is more robot than human at this point and faced death again and again for 30 years.

In the novel the zerg limbs are 3-4 times smaller by description. Glen said the blades are as big as a knife. Unless the artist idea idea of a knife is kriegmesser this limbs are way too big. Anyway Glen also noted she can easily kill normal humans with them. They probably got her on gunpoint and put the slave collar on (it was never explained) and was gameover from there.

Ok, yeah, this author is definitely a fan of Rimworld. Fortunately, they have a table to eat at, so no war crimes this episode.

I think the leader smashing her head in from behind would give them ample opportunity to put the slave collar on her. Then again, she was a nun so maybe she wouldn’t have killed them. One can hope she would have.
