Welp, at least MC actually killed that demon girl. I thought he was gonna spare her, glad he didn't
You've made the classic blunder of assuming that manga follows such concepts as logic and common sense.... so I would just be happy that the attacks and abilities of the MC has only reached BS levels of stupidity, rather then a reality inverting dumpsterfire that replaces logic with something alien and utterly asinine.Pg. 18 is about her “perceiving an attack” and pg 29 she’s still looking up at him before the attack lands. So is the thought that she couldn’t “think of what the attack might do" despite seeing it? Toe perceive is just to notice, really, so how closely do we have to be paying attention to the language going forward in order to not hit high BS levels?
Her saying “an attack like that should not have reached me” is kinda part of that possible BS, because how as a reader are we supposed to gauge attacks now?

When there's an actual translator credited I generally hope it's just human error, but I've been deceived before.page 10 "She's fast"
I see, another GPT translation with no QC.
Or I somehow missed MC becoming a Woman.
I guess he kinda did... Like she said she can be revived, but probably will be kept as a summon or tamed demon... Truth to be told, I'm weak to this kind of characters so I'm quite happy she "survived" lolWelp, at least MC actually killed that demon girl. I thought he was gonna spare her, glad he didn't

thank you for translation
Conceptually this makes sense but reading the wing aspect does take a bit of a stretch. It also complicates the idea of the abilities period, because now it is a thought that the physical state could be tied to the capability of sustaining an ability regardless. Do demons now only have access to certain abilities BECAUSE they can have wings? Clarity will come from the further chapters, but that kind of setup would make the physical appearance of damage mean something which is kinda sick. Her ability seems to be related to her wings hence the name "black wing forbidden domain." But on pg.29 her wing suddenly gets a gash and I guess that disrupted her ability to use her power to negate damage. Why? I don't know. It could be an overuse of her abilities from using those shields, tentacle attacks and orb attacks continuously.
It is also something she wasn't aware of herself as she said it was an attack that should not have reached her. There is an argument that such a small gash should not have affected use of her broken ability but maybe it distracted her enough to where she wasn't even about "perceiving the attack." Giving Maito the time he needed to cut her before she could ultimately "perceive the attack."
The Sword of Oaths blocks special abilities, she tried to deny Maito's attack, but had apparently been scratched by the sword before she disarmed Risty. His magic shouldn't have gotten through, because she saw it coming, but her wings were already damaged too.Conceptually this makes sense but reading the wing aspect does take a bit of a stretch. As to the “shouldn’t have reached her” I was feeling like it’s her saying “I perceived it and yet it beat out my ability” meaning that the whole thing falls into a powerscaling kind of discomfort: ‘My skill was 90 but yours was 110 so AHHH’ type of situation. I think that’s not good. The gash alone should have given her the perception, and her eyes looking in his direction should have qualified the rest of the “perceiving”. Basically, if that one panel wasn’t there everything would work just fine.
