He dies, in his last moments the memories of him being told the truth of the world is broadcast to all of existence, everyone remembers the Primordial Gods, the belief in them gives them power to break the seal and come back.

That's how I see it happening if they go that route.

Poor Velk get NTR by his own weapon that his master give him. It was kinda understandable since Gungnir is Gollnir's tool so it just go back to it owner.
But now it is worse, since the last memento of Velk is gone now. So next chapter there can only be Odin, he draw out all 4 of his treasure and kill Kintaro

Its like your controller dying right before the deciding point in a ranked match that would let you advance ranks, so that you can then just sit there and cry while you await your dread... or smth like that (idk I don't play such games lmao)

I don't think it's had to infer Gungnir may have been made by Kintaro's ancestors so it swapped, but the crowd cheer shouldn't really in of itself be the catalyst, it could have been build up more to this point to feel earned.
