I completely misread Roxanne’s intentions as nefarious, with all those subtle looks and movements. I thought she was the jealous one. Hell, when they showed that knife, I was expecting some bad shit to go down. It wasn’t till she explained things outright that I realized what was happening.

Mayonnaise is an emulsion of egg yolk, oil and an acid. For the acid you can use vinegar or lemon juice.
No, you can't make mayo with JUST egg yolks and olive oil. That results in a greasy, broken mess of a flat-tasting sauce that doesn't even look like it's mayo, because that acid changes the proteins and the extra water gives the proteins enough water to emulsify the oil all together into making mayo. Traditionally they used lemon juice or vinegar, but any acid does the job. That goes all the way back to ancient antiquity with the Romans' Oam Sauce, which was mayo millenia before its "creation" by the French at the Port of Mahon in Spain.
Yep, turns out stress makes you brain dead and i misremembered all the cooking videos ive watched over the years.

He’d better be planning to turn that mayonnaise into tartar sauce.

If the Japanese put mayo on fried fish istd

Honestly, this dude really needs to buck the fuck up and start paying more attention to the internal strife that is going on amongst his slaves. It's really starting to grate on me. Honestly, the relationship dynamics between the characters absolutely fucking suck when it comes between MC and any of the girls. It's already on an off footing of power imbalance with him being the master, and they being the slaves, but he honestly does not pay proper enough attention to them outside of just giving them some level of courtesy that they're not used to as slaves. And that's literally only because he came from a different world and isn't entirely used to treating slaves like most other people would in this world. He would 100% treat all the slaves no better than anyone else did in that world if he grew up in that world. It wasn't due to some innate sense of goodness in him, but rather just a social norm that he grew up with. These girls basically fall in love with him over nothing. If it wasn't for absolutely goddess that Roxanne is, this manga wouldn't have be worth reading for most people.

There's the small plotline in WN that was omitted in LN, regarding the final addition to the harem. When Rutina is first introduced, she's much more indignant and uncooperative than she is portrayed in LN (which is more than understandable, given her circumstances, LN's retconning of it was a meh move, IMO), so Roxanne and Sherry take it upon them to teach her proper behaviour. It happens while Michio is away, so no details are given (then again, there's a well done fanfic from Roxanne's POV where this gap is covered), but the implication is, it was pretty harsh.

I have to disagree The Rutina in the WN and LN are fundamentally different characters. The WN version of her was a skilled dungeoneer with multiple jobs including the Mage job and thusly had status and prestige whereas the LN version was a wallflower who seemingly never even tried anything for herself and only had two jobs (Villager and, strangely, Explorer). Ultimately, I find both the LN retcon and how the original WN just handwaves it away with a noodle incident equally disappointing, but if they're just gonna make her submissive anyway without going through the work of changing her character I prefer the retcon.

Also did they ever confirm her father was killed? he seemed well prepared for his eventual ouster so I assume he had a plan to run making him abandoming his daughter arguably the worst of his sins. If this was a normal series that'd be a whole story arc for the making, but I just dunno after the missed Roxanne connection with the beastfolk outlaw where she looks at the rapier she claimed from him with a complicated expression which I thought suggested he murdered her parents, but well it was never capitalized on. It just feels like a waste to have him hide and then just killed offscreen

What they did surely wasn't pretty, but a huge portion of blame here is on Michio, who neglected to explain to them (or, should I say, cowardly shirked from responsibility in his typical way) that she's not a regular slave bought through regular channels, but effectively a war prisoner who just lost her FATHER, for God's sake, the very man they all helped to kill, and expecting gratitude and obedience from her immediately would be simply unreasonable. Without that information, they only see her as a spoiled brat, who, if not brought to heel, might potentially be a threat not just for their impossibly idyllic lifestyle they have with Michio, but their lives as well, if her inconsideration leads to Master's secrets accidentally leaking and him becoming pursued. Not pretty, as I said, but it's not that they didn't have their reasons.
I do understand your point, and i agree the

MC is also to blame since he is too spineless, but honestly what i hate the most is that not only the MC did nothing when learning about it, but the girls also got away with that.
A good plotpoint would be the MC hugging the girl, sending her with the other 2 girls to a separate room, and then severely scolding both girls, saying that he was never so disappointed with them or something like that, and then deciding to stay a couple days with the elf girl alone to try and heal her a little.

No, she was Level 1/2 in both versions.

I'll have to check the source to be sure, but AFAIR, he tried to escape, but later was reported as caught.

[shrug] As was said above, he's just not that good of a person, and never have been. Closing his eyes, letting the inconvenient situation resolve by itself, and pretending nothing happened was always his favourite way of dealing with problems. Maybe mangaka will try to do something about that piece, we can only hope...

No, she was Level 1/2 in both versions.

As I remember she had formed a party with members of her knight order early in life, something brought up by Roxanne earlier, and had a multitude of jobs including the elf-race specific job (which she does not have in the LN) and mage which requires Villager lv5 at minimum.

Chapter 118:

That reminds me, Rutina was 15 years old when I appraised her.
She is young.
And she is Villager Lv2.
Low.
You want to say her abilities as Earl is unknown because she is 15 years old?
And she is Villager Lv2 as well.
The subjugation of the labyrinths in the territory is not advancing, so it is necessary to immediately put things in order so that the subjugation advances as fast as possible.
People will feel uneasy without a leader with some experience and achievements

Also, what you refer to isn't about her forming a party, it's a standard method used by nobles where small children are accepted into a party of explorers, while not going to the labyrinth themselves, they still get a share of XP earned by others, thus gaining levels. Even though this method was (supposedly) used on her, she didn't rise past Lvl 2, so it was a pure formality.

Spoilers for the next girl: There will be an elf girl he will get, but she dislikes him at first, she thinks herself better because of her upbringing and dislikes being tied to him (the usual cold/harsh personality) however one Roxanne and Sherry took her once the MC wasn't around and once he went back she was meek and scared of the 2 now, it's heavily implied they mind broke her somehow (probably involving s3x) and the MC did nothing about it, so...yeah, they were really scummy there, it's the one thing i hate about the series.

I wish so, but i doubt it, which is sad since a more feisty girl and who is a bit more uncooperative is a nice change of pace to the others who instantly are ok with everything
From what i remember,

At the time had one of the best healing class of the system, so in my head-cannon Sherry was asking the elf girl how to show respect Michio and for every wrong answer Roxanne viciously beat her up and healed her immediately after.

Roxanne was great there, very sensible, which also makes even even more upsetting to know about future events, when she mind broke one of the slave girls, like, it still doesn't make sense how she got away with that...
I feel both of those actions comes from Roxanne's serious and no nonsense nature that makes her take on responsibility for smooth atmosphere and peaceful lives at their home. She sees Sherry working hard for that goal as well, so obviously she's going to make sure to point Michio towards uplifting Sherry's spirits when the insecurities pile up. They witness Rutina not only being uncooperative, but outright hostile. Openly stating that she would throw Michio to the wolves, if it got her a sliver of a chance, to get her status back. And of course they would nip it in the bud, before she endangers them all. Tragic circumstances nothwistanding, as they all have their own sad backstories, and even morso as they finally found a safe haven, they would fight for it.

Even Michio passivenes is not strange in all this, as he didn't even want to take her, no matter how pretty, exactly because of her problematic personality. But the Duke and even his wife insisted, probably because even if it might get harsh it was possibly the best way to ensure her survival.

I hope they won't cut it out, even if it paints the cast a bit darker gray, as I find all the moral shades here interesting.
