Sorry, the lead up of him being popular is completely weird. I was expecting a secondary personality taking the exams from him and him talking to everyone.. like a Fight Club situation but for studying. You know, half way in the chapter he meets a cool friend who steals all the credit but it turns out it's actually him? But no, we get 'He walked blindly into a hurricane while floods and trash slammed into his face and he didn't notice.'
That has zero to do with tickets being given out, them saying he is such a great story-teller, etc. And the thing for the tattoo and piercing for a Tokyo-U student? ... Yeah..... this feels like some weird fever dream that the author couldn't wake up from, like maybe they took medication to go to bed and got stuck in a loop dream or something.
