I wonder if the police will incarcerate Spica and grandma or be persuaded to help them in the end? Same with Ryo, will he become an accomplice

The cops are going to have to figure out how to go after Spica and her grandmother without making their incompetence even more obvious. They've already lost face by failing to catch multiple murderers. "Little old lady and high school girl solve multiple cold cases the cops couldn't crack." Imagine the headlines . . .

Just after a chap about Grandma disliking using Spica, here she is doing it.
I think she sees Spica as a tool rather than a granddaughter deep down, since she hadn't bonded with her much before the rest of the family died and was angry Spica was the sole survivor when sitting at her hospital bed.

I decided to reread the previous chapters thanks to this thread and it helped me realize grandma's friend Tama was in Chapter 39 telling her how awesome it is to have family, I think that made it a guarantee the two of them had to step in. Also love these little tie-ins.

It’s too sloppy for Spica, I’m guessing she intentionally let him live after seeing something in his thoughts. Maybe a hint that she does have a hint of empathy within her

Back when the family was murdered, Inaba told the group to make sure everyone's dead.
Saura checked Spica's room and saw her breathing, chickened out and lied that they're all dead.

Spica is just returning that...'on the spot decision' by giving him first aids when she saw him still alive.
She wouldn't have cared if he died in the initial fallout.
But since he didn't, she decide to balance the scale (but still leave him there, if he die after then oh well)

Oh, the revenge summer arc is over? Kinda anticlimactic, honestly.
I expected more revelations, more introspection.
Like, why was Spica adopted in the first place? What did she think of her family? Is revenge part of her own desire, or is she just along for the ride? (The latter, most likely.)
Oh? So the arc isn't completely over yet?

So we ARE getting the night of the robbery! Interesting.
Guess that means we'll likely get some tidbits from Spica's past before the story ends too.
Was expecting it during the summer revenge arc, tho. Oh, well.
