So sad...he love dhe rbecause when she was truly happy and her perfect image dropped a bit she shined, she loved him for his personality and wanted to make him happy...and when his grades fell and shit happened with the family his vision turned dark and everyone made him feel bad, could have took a pause to cooldown, asked for distance to get his stuff back together...but nope.
And then She thought MC was in love with step-sis from back then, that I think was wrong, he simply had no wall against a family member...

those parasites really did fuck him all the way through, huh? obviously, with the distance and perspective of a third party, you can say that he messed it all up, but the decision makes sense if you look at it from the perspective of a teenager who just lost all of his support structures and prospects. no money, no school, nowhere to live, no responsible adult that can guide him through this nightmare. he cut things off with her because he felt the bottom drop out from under him and he wanted her away from the ruins of his life. there were a million better choices he could have made, but kids under stress and facing homelessness do not often make good choices.

Wow his new father not only destroyed his future prospects but also ruined his relationship with his girlfriend by putting him in a mentally dark place. And how that same father is ruining his sister's life and happiness too

Poor Nene having to give up on him yet still wishing him happiness. He was too kind and didnt want her to suffer with him knowing full well he may lash out at her harming her in the process. His choice though correct in a sense, disregards her feelings towards him.
