She literally just finished telling you about how he's not a bad person & she's the one making moves on him, plus your entire reasoning for him being a "pervert" was due to you being too stupid to lock (or otherwise block) a goddamn door! You're well fucking aware he lives there & you just made him walk home after doing all of the heavy lifting; if you couldn't anticipate he'd probably want to shower off & at least, like, leave a note on the door or something (again, fully aware that he was on his way & would probably arrive while you were in there) it's your own fucking fault! You went straight from annoying with your intro to utterly unlikeable in your very next appearance, just fuck off!
Fuck, this series already lost points in my mind because of the stupid goddamn blackmail shit (made the fmc immediately much less likeable as a character, even if it was played off as a childish prank without any real malice behind it... even though that could still easily lose the man his job & get him totally socially ostracized, but what the fuck ever I guess) & now this character's equally childish stupid bullshit has me worried that this is just how every fucking character is going to be going forward, it's really beginning to put me off from the series...

What's the appeal of characters like her, seriously? What can they add to the story? I don't understand. I don't know if this is an author thing or an editor thing, honestly. The same shitty character was introduced in Tsutte Tabetai Gal Sawa-san, but luckily (or maybe because of the readers' backlash), she was promptly toned down.

Yeah, it's the typical shit you get from shounen romcoms. So many authors are so desperate to appeal to any possible reader that their characters are bland blanks with generic hobbies and no strong opinions on anything that could put a reader off or make a self-insert hard on them.
So how do you sell that the MC's a good guy and justify that all the girls are into them? You take some utterly generic quality, and blow it up to something amazing - and basic decency being inflated to "oh my god he's so kind!" is a staple.
It's already obvious that his saintly qualities are going to convert the evil manhating girl to being a "proper" character who thirsts for the guy, because which dastardly wench would not be fixed by the aura of such an example of manliness!
