Yeah it's your standard revenge story but the dude does not hold back at all when getting revenge so there's that I guess if people are into that. Like "Fukushū o Koinegau Saikyō Yūsha wa, Yami no Chikara de Senmetsu Musō Suru" level of crazy revenge at least the beginning arcs.

The Gods already killed these heros once and all it did was turn them into wrathful undead, unable to die.

So yeah the Gods might be taking an L when he brings them back, brimming with a hateful desire to destroy heaven lol.
