This series really fell off when they were separated.

It's sort of the fate of any series where the leads got together, and still has to go on. But well, it being 'monthly', and having breaks doesn't help it. Hell, this chapter is 19 pages, and it's only the 4th chapter of the year.
So it goes at a weekly manga pace.
Really kills the momentum.

It is, however, much better on a reread, where you don't have to wait.

Also doesn't help that the author is still dragging obi's unrequited love, which nobody really likes as a plotline at this point. It should've been more focused on zen and the politics of the world but instead we got 3 volumes of them being separated and the plot becoming dumb and boring to read.
