I do really like the premise of an overpowered protagonist whose godlike abilities are completely limited to not just a specific place, but one that’s completely uninhabitable. It sets up an interesting dichotomy of having limitless power, yet extremely limited applications to utilize it fully. Unfortunately I doubt the series would be able to capitalize on this effectively, given just how atrocious the breakneck pacing and edgelord writing has been in the span of just 2 chapters.

Yeah, this thing is really not worth the .1 thing with this type of pacing. We go from betrayed individual to God in only 2 chapters? I've seen slop, but this is on another level. But at least the art is good so I'll props to that.

Also, I've read the WN of it and yeah, it's kinda underwhelming. I'm not gonna spoil it cause there's not much to spoil. Plus the author delay this thing for a full year for the adaptation. I'll give 20 chapters before this gets the axe. (I wouldn't be surprised if the saintess be the one to defect cause bahoobies) But yeah, I'll just skim the raw version and drop this one. At least with Mugen Gacha they bother to develop Light as a character, this is nothing.

Since some people have compared this to Lvl 999 gacha previously, I'd like to point out not only is it even more obvious now it's a direct ripoff of it and not other revenge stories, it's also a slop-tier copy at that.

In lvl 999 gacha, the author actually openly shows that the subordinates want to get into the MC's pants, but they hold off because he's a kid, and also because he's so obsessed with his revenge, it consumes him entirely, at least until he finds out members of his family are alive. It's a decent source of comedic relief, and it also feels like the author is saying, I don't need that stuff to keep you reading. Here instead, it's so perfunctory and empty. The sex is practically a box tick in terms of it's motivation and depiction, as if the editor insisted there be such a scene, and that is that. I wouldn't be surprised if this author was equally uninterested as lvl 999's author to include explicit scenes but was just forced to.

The MC having more power because he's down here in this 'abyss' is also directly copied. But it's pretty sloppy handwave of an explanation in comparison. In lvl 999, turns out the MC's gacha ability is pretty OP when used in the abyss because of the magic energy. But there's still a lot of nuance to it. The gacha ability is random and fully built out as an ability, which explains why an untrained boy can use it to summon OP characters right from the get-go. This doesn't remove the need for him to endure grueling training and leveling to reach lvl 999 himself in the abyss he's in, before he can return to take his revenge. In the process, it establishes the system of levels on which the whole story depends. Both the gacha and lvls make it decently believable that his subordinates are absolutely loyal.

It's laughable to compare it to this slop. Magically, no pun intended, his control of necromancy and his power reserves are boosted to OP levels just by being here. Even his age has conveniently changed because of him absorbing his surroundings. I know he was dying but frankly it's pretty much no pain all gain. And it seems the city of heroes are just going to be blindly loyal without any nuance. To begin with, it's a bit ridiculous to think of the circumstances and history that leads to such a city in the first place. The gacha thing or other series simpler explanations don't invite as many questions. To the author, I would say if you're not willing to put in the work to justify your weird setting, then just make a simpler setting you don't have to explain.

Besides all that, the setup is 1:1 the same as lvl 999 gacha's intro over other revenge stories. Just with training or dealmaking or personal sacrifice or whatever else cut out compared to other revenge stories, because this MC doesn't need it apparently, and frankly worse art and worse framing.

Normally I'd just drop this without a word but I just felt like...this hit a level that feels like slop even among isekai/OP slops. It's frustrating to read, frustrating to think I even read it. Maybe I'm a bit hyperbolic there, but this really hit some level I didn't think could get approved for publishing.
