I’m officially retiring from in-depth manga commentary. These days it always goes one of two ways: either a circular argument where no one changes their mind, or a wave of dismissive, rude replies. I’m not sure which is worse. One is mentally draining, the other just pisses me off. And then there’s the occasional gang-up too. So yeah, I’ll just stick to memes and meaningless one-liners.

Today I’m feeling like a stereotypical man.

My mom asked me to move a double bed to the third-floor bedroom and the single bed from the third floor to one of the bedrooms on the second floor.

So today I put on my hiking boots (always protect your feet when carrying heavy things), grabbed my tools (a man’s gotta have tools), which are a flathead screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver, and got to work.

After two hours, the job was done. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to crack a cold one and assert my masculinity by training anime horse girls in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

Did I miss the memo that this week’s theme was ‘being an asshole just because you can’? It’s been a long time since I’ve had so many bad interactions on the forum and seen so many people acting like assholes just for the sake of it.

There were two manga I had high expectations for this year: the serialization of Koroshi to Uso no Marriage and The Fable: The Third Secret.

Koroshi to Uso no Marriage: The original premise was abandoned, turning it into Bouryoku Banzai, a fighting manga where everything is completely over the top.

The Fable: The Third Secret: I am not enjoying it at all. The story is not interesting, and the comedy, which was a defining feature of the first two parts, is missing.

I guess the lesson here is: don’t have expectations.

I just lost all my progress in Umamusume: Pretty Derby on my iPhone...

So… I linked my data to my Apple account when I started playing, but the game kept asking me to link it every time I opened it. It got annoying, so I tried linking it again—only for it to overwrite my save and wipe all my progress (7 days gone).

Yeah, I didn’t read anything and just clicked through... so fuck me, I guess.

And I had just pulled Tokai Teio from the event.
