1. No, it's pretty much mirrored Europe. Framaille is France-inspired, and Eilis is more UK-inspired. It becomes more evident as the events unfold. There are even some neighboring countries that are inspired by Poland.

The author admitted to watching Youjo Senki, and started writing with it in mind. Except they didn't really have a plan for this first arc, so it quickly falls to the wayside to focus on the Touri's path through the conflict.
The isekai part kinda comes up later , but it's mostly forgotten...

That's what the last line about. Difficult jobs are the way they are, but someone has to do them.
What's more important is finding a direction, and being aware of what you're jumping into.
It does feel like the author had a bunch of smaller ideas, but didn't have enough to stretch each out to a full chapter.
That being said, we got to tie up the goddess stones plot point, and bring back some characters who we haven't seen for a while.
