The phrasing last chapter was not specific about who they want to crush. The panels showing our group made it seem like they mean them, but they could be referring to someone else, maybe the monster guy's group. But I could be reaching here, because I like the witches.

In a different translation, the fragments of the true name are "ru...ma" instead of ell...ma". I suppose the disparity comes from the Japanese writing Hellmaster as He-ru-ma-sta, so in the original Japanese it is ambiguous if he said Hellmaster or Chidaruma. Can someone who can read Japanese...

I suppose what Damemaru ran into is the lower half of the guy from last chapter. So did he get turned into a skinsuit for the black figure or was that part of him and the upper body was "peeled away" and that's why he has no bones?
