Yes, the burger guy remembered Wagatsuma from his original past. So he came from a timeline that was already warped. In 3 years the next slipper will remember Gaku. I am sure Wagatsuma will return. His previous bad end had him up and leave, in this timeline it will be different.

It seems that each slipper starts a new timeline. I'm guessing each overwrites the previous one. It would be interesting if there was some interference from other time lines

This was a really fun series. A good level of silliness while keeping the baddass aura.

A huge pet peeve of mine is when manga refer to their own plot points as "something out of a manga". Same with film, books etc. Especially in this case since they specify a bad manga.

Yeah that has become very clear. It seems that a lot of stuff that Vegapunk "discovered" was him rediscovering them from ancient cultures.

It was first introduced in Alabasta with Mr 4s gun/dog. My point is that it doesn't make sense for a weapon with heritage unless Vegapunk didn't really develop the process.

I'm not sure. Isn't that a new discovery of Vegapunk's? Unless it was something he rediscovered from ancient cultures like the giants.

I know that people don't like him in and out of universe, but I respect Kanamori for never giving up and clawing for a spot he doesn't deserve.
