I agree. As much as I love Tsugumomo, the writing isn't why. I honestly don't understand why so many people (besides the battle shonen hating coomers) glaze the story so much. The actual story is a pretty run-pf-the-mill exorcist battle shonen with above average harem characters and a basic ass...

1. Is any of that confirmed? Like, is that the reason Japanese readers gave, or is that just speculation? 2. This is shonen jump, so I'm not sure what isekai has to do with anything. That shit's gonna exist regardless. The barrier to entry is basically non-existent.
