My prediction: future Earth is itself being used in an alien proxy war. The technology was sent to them (maybe back in time? Or who knows, forward?) To change thier development and alter thier future for their benefit.

Some people really just lack every ounce of self awareness. They are unable to see anything outside of the way they think things are supposed to be, and will twist all circumstances to make themselves the victim or a tragic hero in their own mind.
I had my suspicions but this confirms that Zoe is so much more than just 'Borrowing Strength from the future' and explains what she did in her battle vr. the Mirror - she undid time, or reverted her body to a state before she was cut.

What a bunch of degenerate comments on an otherwise great story. A well crafted classic Sci-fi on the cost of survival. More manga and anime should have consistent, thematic and dramatic through lines like this. It makes for very good story telling.
It's a cute manga and all, but if you start dating someone in real life and they say "we don't need to set boundaries it makes it more exciting!" You need to dump them immediately.
Preferably off the side of a cliff.
