You know, this brings up a problem I don't see mentioned: if Scarlet Star is a bunch of students passing on generation to generation for 500 years, how did nobody go, "Dope, this student constantly disappears whenever a void shows up!"

I took a glance at the author's other work, and while the writing is pretty good, the idea I felt was rather stale in comparison to this manga... so I appropriately cast my vote.

What's interesting is that the non-blacked out names follow the four-year cycle... could they have been temporary stand-ins? Maybe something tragic happened to the originals? :think:

This is such a fresh manga (or should it be graphic novel since it's in English?) that I'm addicted to it.

Why would I? I don't even understand Japanese that well! Thankfully I had the French one to compare to, and it was much more understandable despite my knowledge level being below native in the language.

@bakauguu I'm honestly enjoying these recent chapters. Yeah, it's a bit much to take in at first, but once you've understood the politics at play, it's actually very interesting to follow and separates it from manhwa that just follow murder-hobo MCs with no goal in sight. The only other isekai...
