I still don't like the fact 10% of this series is spent dealing with this trash, but at least it's over now.

This is the first arc that I’m confused on, like what did we spend the last ~10 chaps or so reading?

Obviously the guy is trash but literally nothing came from this entire arc, it didn’t push yu and chi tang any closer together (from what we can see), the guy wasn’t really that interesting, and its not like there were any interesting revelations revealed about chi tang besides the fact she used to have this guy as a “friend”.
Just kinda baffling we spent a decent amount of time on this arc(I hesitate to call it an arc cause nothing happened) when it could have been spent on anything else, like unpacking chi tang and you yu’s relationship (which is still kinda undefined).

I imagine it was to show how Chi Tang became so dismissive of people maybe? Because at the start of the story she was very distant and protective of her space. But still there could be a better way of doing this. Glad that this is over and we are back to gay school now

Nothing is really gained from this that couldn't have been done in many other ways. It ends up feeling like padding, even if that wasn't the intent. Series is still good but this wasn't needed, especially so close to the end.
