Filling the gaps is a twopronged sword.
For one, the notes likely would've been expanded if they were done by Miura himself most likely. For the other, putting his interpretations into it could result into it becoming more fanfic like, see the game of thrones show or opm with the artist. Here they prefer to err on the side off caution, given how much they respect him.

I understand you don't mean it in a negative way, but there's better example for not so stellar ghost-writing as opposed to that travesty.

Being honest, the story started going downhill ever since the witch joined the group. It felt like there was no stakes anymore for the main cast

it feels like post-miura will have all the big impactful moments turn out really good because they were probably explained in more detail to mori, i agree that most of the fluff to get there feels a bit too fast but i felt that that scene with silat and guts was given the proper time to breath, same with that beast of darkness chapter way back so the end stretch of berserk might get some of that miura magic back because i imagine miura talked about that in excessive detail with mori

4) Chapter 371. page 16 (the double page) there clearly is a harbour

Ah, okay I thought you were referring to this chapter though. That harbor is shown to be way beyond the main entrance to Falconia, past the Apostle Colloseum. But even then that's not necessarily a inconsistency as even Miura implied the existence of a harbor being connected to the city when he showed that Falconia had cargo ships traveling through large canals in the city.

Good to see Schierke is looking for Casca and not just stuck in ghost mode.

I really appreciate the frequent releases lately! Honestly only getting 2 chapters a year was sucking the joy out of this story for me.
