There are so many plot holes now.
  • Why did the elfhelm magicians loose powers when the tree was destroyed and why do they suddenly have them again.
  • Why did all elfs dissappear except Puck and Ivalera.
  • Puck somehow forgets about Rickert and only now remembers about Guts.
  • Schierke first travels to falconia (we see her entering the branches), then we see her and Guts together and now it seems like she is departing from the kushan empire.
  • Falconia was always shown in the middle of land (midland), but now they suddenly have a harbour.
  • Rakshas said previously that head is not necessarily where the mask is, but he dies that way.
  • In the previous chapter it seems like Rakshas was trying to escape but now it seems like it was his plan to kill Guts.
Where the heck are you seeing a harbor in Falconia? There wasn't any harbor shown there in this chapter.

  • The Elfhelm magicians never lost their powers when the tree was destroyed? Morda was even telling Farnese to help the witches heal the wounded with their magic.
  • So far, the best introduction is that Puck and Ivalera have strong ties to the physical world since they've spent so much time outside of Elfhelm.
  • Ok, yeah, that's kind of weird. I imagined it as Schierke spending all this time following the branches, and now she's finally arrived in Elfhelm.
  • Where are you seeing a harbor in Falconia?
  • Yeah, I think there was more to Rakshas that Miura was going to reveal. I don't know if there's a reason why he didn't get sucked into the Vortex of Souls the same way apostles do and he just turned into black goop, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just because Mori didn't want to add in stuff that wasn't explicitly said by Miura.
  • I think Rakshas dove into the cellar because it was dark and he needed to hide, found Guts by coincidence, and then decided to kill him. But then he got killed by Silat before he could do anything.

Do you mean to say "finally arrived in Falconia"?

  • Yeah, I think there was more to Rakshas that Miura was going to reveal. I don't know if there's a reason why he didn't get sucked into the Vortex of Souls the same way apostles do and he just turned into black goop, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just because Mori didn't want to add in stuff that wasn't explicitly said by Miura.
Well even Miura himself didn't show the vortex of souls appearing on the physical plane to observers every single time an apostle is killed. Like we didn't see it appear when Guts killed the Female Apostle and Snake Baron in the very first volume of the series. And then when Rosine dies at the start of the Conviction Arc Lost Children Chapter we don't see it either (though admittedly that could also be more of a cinematic cut-away). There's also the Apostles Guts and the Skull Knight kill during the Eclipse, no vortex is shown sucking in their Apostle forms either.

And even if you want to dismiss the Female Apostle and Snake Baron as examples of early installment weirdness/lore not being decided yet and the Eclipse being an exception because it didn't occur in a normal plane of existence, there is still the instance of when Guts dons the Berserker Armor for the first time (when Flora's tree is being burned down) and he slaughters a number of Apostles before facing Grundbeld, and again no vortex of souls is shown sucking their apostle forms away.

Also its fair to assume a few apostles died fighting the Ganishka Shiva spawn during the big battle in volumes 33-34, and we didn't see vortexes appearing then either (though that admittedly as the excuse of it being a chaotic battlefield and Miura isn't going to show the immediate aftermath of every single Apostle death).

1) maybe I remember it badly, but I feel like they said something about it (will search for the chapter later)

2) Isma (the mermaid) was living with humans her whole life and only recently discovered she is a mermaid, but she also dissapeard
3)
4) Chapter 371. page 16 (the double page) there clearly is a harbour

I also remembered another inconsistency: Griffith appears on Elfhelm but after one chapter Zodd exits the branches. How? We were told only Griffith and Sonia can travel through the branches without getting lost.

Silat is pretty much us. We hate to see Guts like this. But after all that's happened to Guts, it's a miracle he was able to get this far. Anger managed to fuel him to this point, but eventually that resoruce is just tapped out...

Thanks as always EG. I really enjoyed this chappy, I agree with the folks who say Rakshas death was kinda anticlimactic, but I imagine Gaga and Mori are so dedicated to sticking close to what Miura said that they didnt want to embellish. It hurts seeing Guts in such despair but its definitely understandable from him at this point, so I think the team is getting the hang of the emotional arc of the characters.

Poor guts bro just tired of this please give us a happy ending😭🙏
Let's see what Miura had planned for Guts, Casca, and all of us. Here's hoping for nothing short of the best. Miura once remarked, “Being the sort of person I am, though, I actually don’t think I could let such a long grim story end with a grim ending — like, say, having him suddenly die. I don’t really like that kind of entertainment. I’ll leave it to my subconscious.” That sentiment gives us a spark of hope amid all the darkness—a promise that, even if the path is painful, the conclusion might bring some relief rather than leaving us with a bitter aftertaste. Let’s hold onto that optimism and pray that Miura’s vision rewards us with an ending that feels truly satisfying.

ngl I don't think Rakshas is completely dead. I believed he got injured badly, but I don't think he's fully dead. I may forgot some plot points, but does he have a "demon" form kinda like zodd and arrow guy.

Also are we in or considered near the arc of berserk? I feel like there prolly is going to be one or two arcs before the end. Like the main thing I wish to know about, but we'll prolly not get is skull knight's backstory and his relationship with that woman. But we're prolly not gonna get it.
