Japanese censorship law crackdowns have gotten worse, or so I've heard, and some are prematurely censoring more stringently than the law requires.

More specifically, drinking distilled water is bad because it leaches minerals from your system. It's better than nothing, but if you're in a tight spot you could mix a sports drink concentrate or some kind of electrolyte powder into it. Remember the rule of threes: three minutes without air, three days without water, three days without food.

Rule of Threes is: Three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water, three weeks without food.

How bad are we talking about? Im aware its a survival situation, hence im interested what we could have done to fix that problem.

As others mentioned, distilled water will remove salt and minerals from your body more than regular water, but it's not a huge effect, and most of the downsides can be compensated for by having a bit of extra salt in your diet. And they're surrounded by ocean, they're getting plenty of extra salt whether they want to or not.
It also doesn't provide the minerals that ordinary water might have, so that's another effect, but while the difference might be clinically significant it's again not huge. With how limited their food options are, distilled water is the least of their concerns when it comes to balanced nutrition, they're going to have some nutrient deficiencies no matter what they do.
But also, their distilled water isn't going to be anywhere near as pure as distilled water we might drink today. Mainly because they're running the water through an old beat up chair leg, so it's going to pick up some minerals from that, though I'm not sure exactly what metals it would be made of.

Rather than the health effects of the water, the main concern should be the huge amount of firewood they'd have to burn through to keep it going, and the time and energy they'd have to expend gathering it.

Agree, but fortunately they are releasing the uncensored version too. The first chapter is out.

At this point is better if the scanlator wait for the full version even if is a bit late on schedule, the black blocks are really something horrible.

Not gonna name name, but for example there's a tl group that does a lot of series, the group intentionally censoring cleavages, outfit that too revealing and so on, redrawing those with blank white instead. I was under the impression it was the manga artist's art style until things were so bad that they ruined the character body proportion and the manga art style along the way. It was also allegedly their tl isn't accurate. Well 'they' did rebrand themselves and still active translating a lot of isekai manga nowadays, I've decided to drop whatever they tl nowadays.

I was under the impression it was the manga artist's art style until things were so bad that they ruined the character body proportion and the manga art style along the way. It was also allegedly their tl isn't accurate. Well 'they' did rebrand themselves and still active translating a lot of isekai manga nowadays, I've decided to drop whatever they tl nowadays.
