I have a feeling that it will be that something happened that either made her feel guilty or feel like a burden to him, so she in her mind she was leaving him for his own sake.

I am guessing the daughter is the MC's daughter and she broke off things since neither were prepared to marry and settle so she just returned to her family. At least it would be an easy way to make her more sympathetic.

And being that she was the one who broke it off, it's either some stupid self deprecating shit that made her bail trying to "not be a burden" or whatever, or some weird family thing? Either way, some drama is bound to be tied to it.

I think it's already explained between the lines, even in this chapter. He's reserved, quiet, and probably not easy to connect with. My guess is that she probably didn't feel that she got the affection and closeness she wanted. Maybe he's mostly the same that he was back then, I think guys in general change less than women over the years, but she's probably matured a bit more emotionally and got more secure at least and can handle someone not being direct with their emotions.

My guess is that she probably didn't feel that she got the affection and closeness she wanted. Maybe he's mostly the same that he was back then, I think guys in general change less than women over the years, but she's probably matured a bit more emotionally and got more secure at least and can handle someone not being direct with their emotions.

If she broke up with him, because she didn't like his personality/character it's highly unlikely she'd start it all over again, if he didn't change, since that'd just repeat the same thing all over, her breaking up for that reason would just mean they fundamentally don't work together

So I don't think his personality itself was the issue and something else was the cause, especially since she decided to go to him with her daughter potentially ripping open old wounds and pouring in salt, if he still had feelings for her when she broke up, which it sounded like, so there has to be a reason she specifically sought him out, when she supposedly still has family (and we have yet to hear anything about the father)

He's either the father himself, or she has family circumstances which she will claim forced her to seperate, would've said maybe there's an abusive husband she tried to get away from with her daughter, but i think logically the daughter would be more on guard then

My money's been on that that's not her daughter. She broke up bc she had to go take care of a dead relative's baby or something along those lines.
