These kinds of manga are always so polarizing, mostly due to how the readers try to see it. On one hand, incredibly mature takes, and some logical discussions. On the other, takes that makes you think that the term 'involuntary celibate' is justified with its origin and meaning (a.k.a. incredibly immature and hostile).

I have so many mixed emotions. Like it's trying to be a fluffy manga (and I do enjoy it for the dopey food moments), but there's this... gnawing sensation in the back of my mind of what if this leads to an affair. I am struggling to understand what the overall goal of this manga is...

egh, stuff like this happens a lot irl tbh. I know quite a few people who got together after all's said and done, with kids and divorce and etc...and it can be great, that goes without saying.

This is just another one of those stories, it's not THAT unfathomable. Then again it would be nice to get more details.

Chapter 11 and 12 will contain the father. He's the landlord. My money is that the story crashes and burns, as the entire foundation of the plot at this point is resting on the question "Why did they break up, and who's the father?", but it appears to be explained through "WOOOWWW WHAT A COINCIDENCE" rather then anything satisfactory like... ASKING THE QUESTION LIKE AN ADULT, AND GETTING A PROPER EXPLENATION FROM THE OTHER ADULT (that being said, i didn't see the actual chapter, just author's twitter post about chapter 12)

Yeah the french banned private paternity tests so it's literally up to a judge if a man is allowed to test that. Which is fucked any country living in the 21st century should allow you to test that it is genuinely one of the most retarded things in french law.
