The reason I'm invested in this series is to see Darling-san having whacky misadventures with his harem and develop his relationship with them. I think he tried that with 12 Beasts but it never went anywhere.

Author probably dropped it, as it seems he is more focused on getting other Characters hitched than MC.

My guess is, Author is probably uncomfortable with showcasing his story's MC in a relationship. He is ok with showing MC's fall in sexual situation, but not in a relationship especially a Harem one.

I remember that Author previously announced to end this series 5-6 years back as well, and is probably still continuing it because of publisher demands.

I mean, he already Axed his other monster girl "12 Beast" series mid during a battle arc, even though officially it's been put on hiatus (author confirmed it later in a post that he doesn't want to work on it, going against what publisher had announced), probably because the plot was moving towards relationship talk of the MC with the other girls.

Yeah, it would be nice to come back to more varied things. I was ok with different girls being introduced before the author decided to laser focus on his fetish, but it became a cycle of "oh wow, look at the dumbnut thing the author came up about a lactating big breasted monster girl".

God, the Milking Farm was the most frustrating moment in the series for me so far. From the original we were seriously missing our Holstaur, so having her would have been the final piece. But nope.
