How is that hard to understand she's also deeply lonely inside & wants to feel validated with a person who's; at the moment, far more of a worthless failure than she is. The reason she always analytically breaks down his bad points is partly because she's projecting and partly so that he remains "useless", and a crutch that can hold herself up. Hence her friend telling her that once he becomes not so useless anymore, he might be above her in terms of worth and leave her. Tho overtime, it's clear that she'll actually harbor real genuine feelings towards him.

I thought this chapter was cute, they're both broken people but find solace in each other. Their relationship might not be perfect but they seem to make each other happy.
I guess goals for this manga is them developing a deeper bond and being able to open up more about their feelings.
Also the art is sooo gud.

Glad the tl of this was resumed.

Gotta guess some already read the raw spoiler summary i left on the previous ch. thread, but around the time i wrote that, i didn't catch up with ch. 9 being sort of a flashback, just paid attention to Shinba's bad memories about the people who left him (the 1st panel btw is a HUGE SPOILER. Once the story reaches the split chapters, you'll find out who's that bitch).

So, that's how Not!Kazuya started dating Not!Nagi (or Not!Denji and Not!Makima). Seems Hizumi being a former regular customer at that run down cinema may hide some issues with abandonment, trauma, survivor guilt... or simply she has such a bad taste on things.

However, Not!Nagi saying the cinema also held bad memories aside of the good ones is a foreshadowing about something related to abandonment or a heartbreaking break up.
