So this time, what the doggo did is by bring Liam to Kurt, he calls for a bigger or better fleet since he want to crack open a piggy bank. Saving him from a possible bad end where he survive but the fleet and maybe friends die or something

As soon as the Peetak fleet joined the pirate fleet, they became privateers. They are no different from pirates in the enemy eyes, apart from the possibility of capturing them alive for ransom. Nobody would pay a pirate's ransom, but Peetak might pay ransom to get their sailors and officers back. What comes to the ships, they would need to pay the full price, obviously. I doubt they have any money, though.

If they aren't considered privateers, the only other choice would be for this to be a declaration of war by the house Peetak, which is probably not what they would want to do.

I'm hoping this is not the end for the guide, the sight of him projectile vomiting blood is a little worrisome.

If Liam were like Kurt and actually virtuous would have no real choice but to accept the surrender of Peetak's pirate/privateer splinter fleet. But Liam isn't virtuous and already has a history of giving pirates no quarter. It's going to be a massacre.

The only people I feel bad about is the simple crew inside the ships, people that have nothing to do with killing that just do their jobs like engineers or even cooks. To be honest even the people at the bridge are probably not at fault, they are just following the orders from his superiors, who are the ones that want a conflict/war in the first place, just like in real life
