Triple..... is threefold, no?If he does manage to pul it off, there's a good chance he'd be increasing the sheer lethality of it all not by triple, but threefold.
They're synonyms 😐🫤

His concern is valid though. There is a reason why the IJA was able to roflstomp the Chinese Army in WW2, but got cut to ribbons by the Marine Corps.only problem this chapter, Liam doesn't realize he has a elite force and by himself he's already hundres of people strong, so his way of fighting is still good as he can curbstomp his enemies by sheer quality. I get the importance of quantity, but it would be more of a deterrant than a way to defeat his enemies.
I was thinking about that too. The way I've heard and used it all my life is that. Threefold == 3 times.Triple..... is threefold, no?

I think the right term for exponentiality would be "X folded".I was thinking about that too. The way I've heard and used it all my life is that. Threefold == 3 times.
I'm now wondering if I've just been taught wrong as is common. Fold once and it doubles the thickness, twice four times, so three folds would be eight times.
Exponential growth.
Language gets misused and abused all the time, so this difference in meaning wouldn't surprise me.
For some examples, "it's all up hill from here" I grew up with meaning things will only get better. Years ago the people in the work environment confused me with "it's all down hill from here" meaning to them that things will only get easier from now on. One day, I'll figure out the difference between button-up and button-down shirts.
(...)However, looking at the literal definition of "three fold" means you fold something three times.
"Three folds" is not the same as "threefold".
They are vaguely related but the use in the sense of "threefold" is the original and the verb use as in "fold a paper" is derived from that. Only from there do we get the noun form "fold" as in "something formed by folding". So "threefold" unambiguously means 3x.
Usually when buttoning a shirt you just put on, one would start at the bottom and work your way up. When taking off a shirt one would unbutton from the top working down to the bottom. So button up means to put on and button down is to take off.One day, I'll figure out the difference between button-up and button-down shirts.
This is a mecha comic, though, but more importantly,it doesn't need to be mechs for them to explain it,they just need to actually do so.I think you'd need to go into a Mecha manga to find something like that. There are some tactics once in a while (there is even a supporting character who is off-brand Ciaphas Cain.) But things often come down to 'mobile knights go brrrrrt'.

Ah,there's the problem.I think the right term for exponentiality would be "X folded".
As taken from a 6 years old reddit thread (100% trust):
(...)However, looking at the literal definition of "three fold" means you fold something three times.Basically saying "this is English, literal translation is meaningless.""Three folds" is not the same as "threefold".

Went to check, the section on JCPenney's and Walmart's site are labeled button down, so their shirts are made to be taken off? Macy's and Nordstrom's are listed as button up, so they are for made to put on?Usually when buttoning a shirt you just put on, one would start at the bottom and work your way up. Unless I'm remembering wrong, he has some magic device to just generate elixirs but hasn't cracked it like he did with the alchemy machine.elixir is the only cure? arent he already spamming elixir?
Thing is, they don't know about the space ninjas... As they are space ninjas. You don't plan for a thing you don't just not know, but can't imagine.Doesn't he have those space ninjas how in the hell are they gonna poison him
Nothing to do with direction, AFAIK, though it's a really silly and unexpected differentiation.Went to check, the section on JCPenney's and Walmart's site are labeled button down, so their shirts are made to be taken off? Guess JCPenney and Walmart are sexier.
Out of habit I button and unbutton from top down. Can't say I've noticed how others dress. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a styling guide at a higher income bracket though.
The grudge is probably from the planet the pirates massacred so it probably won’t do anything to anyway.Distilled grudge of a whole planet? My, my, that sounds like a perfect gift for The Guide! Of course the gift is due to the endless gratitude that Liam feels towards him! Wouldn't it be funny if said grudge got completely negated by the gratitude attached to the gift?
