I'm not really sure I follow. I'm personally fine and don't have trust issues.

I just found this story to be a let down ultimately, peddling fairly poor moral practices. If someone I was close enough to talk about my personal relationships with turned out to be the person I was talking about while they actively hid it, I think I'd be peeved and would turn that into a major red flag for that individual.
