Basically the same character. Just expect them to be whatever the author needs at that moment (sadly).

This feels like it should be a comedy and this chapter was pretty funny but the tonal whiplash keeps me spinning constantly with this series.

Yeah, still can't find bearing with this series. I still keep coming back just because it's unpredictable and I the setting is still intriguing though. So... probably author did a successful job (if that's the objective)?

I wonder how many people in life actually experience this. People often wear masks in public, wearing a facade when they interact with others. They treat you in a manner because that's how they view you. However it only takes one thing, from the content of your words, to the motion of your actions to flip a person's personality to a 180, and they start treating you differently, they start acting differently.
Humans in real life can be swayed very easy.
