I find it so forced/rush. The new character that appears out of nowhere is related to his sister who happens to have some same things as him who ended up being on the side of the aliens who immediately stumbles on them even though they've managed to hide their activities since forever from whoever.

To each their own.
I'd much rather see development than 100 chapters of no progress like in romcoms or battles that last 50 chapters like in jjk 💀

Can't say I'm surprised with this direction. Serial killer protagonist stories typically have one of these moments. The moment where things escalate. Next chapter will decide for sure. Whether they kill her to keep her silent or something else. Certainly won't help Kitami's mental stability at all though if they kill her though lol. Dude is already spiraling hard.

Based on the first chapter and her being on the first volume cover, I thought Nomamoto was the protagonist or, based on the chapters following that, that her and Kitami were going to be dual protagonists. But for quite a while now, at least since the aftermath of Huntaway's death, if not before that, Kitami seems to be the sole protagonist. Unless this is all just a single arc focusing on Kitami, Nomamoto doesn't even seem like a deuteragonist, more like a sidekick or mascot. I wonder if the mangaka changed course after chapter 1 because he realized she wouldn't be a great protagonist (neither is Kitami, though - or anyone in this manga) or if the first chapter was just a red herring - an introduction from her point of view.

Yeah, kinda hoping it's just an arc for now. Whole reason I started reading this manga was for Nomamoto after all.
