Kitami standing between alien corpses while shakingly considering to kill humans to protect his own secret is good. Seeing him evaluate the value of his vengeance over human life is entertaining, I'll give it that.

The chapter could've afford to expand a bit more on that and leave the "plot twist" for next week's chapter opening though. The story just feels erratic and unpredictable for the sake of it a lot of time.

I would say this is jumping the shark, but it's about three layers of shark jumping at this point. Sharks getting jumped by sharks that are themselves getting jumped, all while underlying sharks are jumped. It's like Ezekiel's vision of the wheels, but with sharks.

So he killed Kitami's family, and he now likes Kitami. He's basically mirror Kitami. Hated all humans, used to kill them, then realized he likes Kitami and he's hatred is more focused the same way Kitami is. So its kind of like, the exact same as Kitami but an Alien. That was a pretty good twist.
He can't go "oh you are a psycho you killed a buncha humans!" cause he did the same to aliens

so there's a moral lesson and shit

is this alien going to join the team? I wonder what's compelling him, or I wonder if aliens are detached to the concept of death... I don't know, it's hard to say with how comfortable he was killing humans if he presumably is on his side after he's killed all those aliens.
not to mention it might also imply that he preemptively knew that he's been killing aliens. though I think <this conjecture is a stretch because it would mean the alien is more in on the know that the literal assassination organization. maybe the alien works with the organization??

Think about it. Kitami just killed an entire hall full of people, and this fucker doesn't bat an eye? Instead, he apparently slaughtered most of the staff outside, judging from all the blood on his clothes and the missing piece of his "hair"?
This guy came to kill. He was friends with the other shady alien. This was a setup to figure out whether Kitami did him in or not.
And we still haven't seen the brother that was supposed to be at this event...
