and the boss monster designating [disabling] rather than [terminating] as the main course of action RE: dealing with the MC
there's something else going on
what if the boss succeeds?

bro even you can't ignore the fight (or fights apparently) could have been done 9x shorter than what is currently dragged out!
and 1: DB is pretty much known for that at this point (idfk about jojo, haven't felt the need to read it) and 2: all i'm complain about is this fight was (imo) extra af! i mean at the end of the day the author could have the same achieved/better result by making it the fights shorter! also i think the villian while epic af just felt unnecessarily to have this much strength and imo felt out of the blue, if the author wanted a str boss to reality check the party then why not an orc or a dragon instead? any of those would have work their role just fine just not again extra af, but is it what it sadly is at this point i'm just going with the flow and hope the fight is over in the next ch

The fights could be shorter but that would eat away at the story being told here if you eat away at the assholes fighting it then you lose the satisfaction of seeing them eat shit if you eat away at Yuki struggle then you don't get a sense of how truly strong the boss is not to mention realizing much of what she thought was a lie or manipulated and breaking down because of it with Eldora even hinting at her Dion obsession is holding her back

and then there is the main event learning the shadow knight is much smarter then it pretends to be all the tricks and planning and now it's more lich like final form and Dion showcasing what he can do without Eldora's help trying to stand on his own so he can stand beside them without considering himself a burden

Eldora's acquaintance possessing the axe-wielder doesn't seem interesting, but I guess we will have to adress that too eventually.

And what's even the point of the party? I don't remember Eldora and the MC ever practicing teamwork. I know, most of the enemies are too weak to make it necessary, but it kind of takes out the thrill when you never combine your power as a party.
