Tell me this is not a dream. Please please please please please tell me it's actually back. I'm begging you...
Thanks you so much for briging this back!!!!! :qq:
I'll be uploading a new chapter in the next couple hours, after some proof-reading.
I wasn't expecting this many people to still be following this haha, it's going to be difficult to keep up. Really hoping someone better at this picks it up.

Thanks for the chapter!
It's been... * checks notes* 4 years...
I am grateful that this one has gotten a second chance.
Good luck with the localisation of puns though, that can be rough sometimes.

Might be beating a dead horse by this moment but thank you for the translations my dude. I understand your worries about not doing a good job enough (and admittely some of the pages were a bit hard to understand) but the effort is very much appreciated. It sure beats us lazy bones who are just waiting for someone else to get the job done, hahah. Cheers man!

Heya, thanks for the response! I totally understand not wanting to pick this up. The mere 4 pages I did took like 4-5 hours, and the language seemed to be on the simpler side. It must've been hell doing some of the chapters with quite deep puns in them!

I certainly won't turn down feedback of any sort, I'm completely new to this on multiple levels haha
I sent you a DM.

Over the years as I’ve gotten more involved in TLing I’ve always had this series on the back burner as something I’d potentially pick up when I felt I could handle it, but I never quite felt I would be doing it justice. Thanks for being willing to do the extra work (mandatory TL notes for every chapter 😭) this is one of my favs!

Dude, so many of the puns and references in this series flew over my head over the years, especially the Japanese comedy TV stuff. The mangaka seems to be really big on those, so I fear I'll miss some down the line haha. Certainly one hell of a first project for me.
I'm glad people are happy its being continued. I figured if I was going to translate this to read myself, I might as well go the whole way and do it properly (or as close as I can!) for others too. This one's a favourite of mine, and I've came back to re-read it quite a few times.

Man, typesetting with the crowbar again, aren't we? You should apply with crappabeast for a position, they like to produce this shit.
Thank you very much for your constructive feedback. I've edited the pages to remove the more egregious issues, such as longer words on multiple lines. I assumed shrinking the font would make it a bit hard to read on some screens, so I kept all the main dialogue on 13px haha. I suppose I'll know soon enough if shrinking the fonts makes it harder to read.

Bubbles serve the text, not the other way round. It's okay to spill. Also, line-breaking words is okay, too, just not in the dumbest and most desperate places. Take the word's morphology into account:
(re(pro(duc)))(tion)
What was the problem with breaking it into "repro-" and "duction"? Similar length, decent bubble padding, easily captured by the reader's eye. Instead, you shat out "reproducti-on" as you were about to collide with the bubble border because you didn't plan ahead. Like those idiots who cut through three highway lanes of busy traffic at the last second just so that they don't miss their exit.

Readability comes first, and text picture is a thing. Make the text pleasant to read, don't stoically follow some rule or another for following's sake. I'm sure you've seen plenty of commercially-made manga and how they do it. One would think those would be plenty as reference material to teach you what is good and why. After all, if those guys wouldn't consider the effort of editing their text into shape worth spending they'd just not do it and keep the money for profit.

You should not need to be told that.

After 4 years, it's back
And I am happy like a kid.
Thank you, kind gentleman. Thank you for standing up for a cause. Don't search for anyone better than you — you are the best one here
